WordPress : Track your RSS Readers
I recently blogged on a WordPress Plug-in, Tracked Tweets, that would automatically update your Twitter with your blog posts. And here comes yet another WordPress Plug-in from Jack McIntyre – Tracked RSS.
Tracked RSS is a simple WordPress Plug-in, which virtually needs no configuration in the backend. All you have to do is to just download and enable the plug-in.
How does it work?
Tracked RSS uses Google Analytics to analyze your RSS Readers. The Source (utm_source) and Medium (utm_medium) are set as RSS and the Campaign (utm_campaign) is set to your Post Title. Here’s an example.

To analyze your RSS Readers, log on to your Google Analytics account and choose RSS as your Source/Medium. Simple!
