Google revamps its Social Networking site, Orkut, and the new Orkut is said to have looks/features similar to Facebook. Though, Orkut has a user base more than that of Facebook, when it comes to user-activity, Facebook stands first – status messages and apps play a major role.

To add more user-activity and to engage users, Google adds a set of feature to Orkut. These include a faster version of Orkut (primarily), status messages (twitter-like, 140 characters), ability to discover friends automatically, video integrated Google chat, uploading photos in bulk, posting video testimonials and the ability to change the colors of the content boxes. Moreover, you’ll be able to access all of your friends’ photos and videos right from your homepage.
