A well-known and the largest URL Shortening Service, Bit.ly, has added support for uploading and sharing Media Files.

To share files on Bit.ly, you’ll just have to visit it’s homepage(bit.ly) and click the ‘Link to File’ hyperlink. Click ‘Browse’ and point the file you want to share. Supported file types are Images(jpg, png, gif, bmp, tiff), Flash Content(swf, flv), Movies(mp4, mov, avi) and PDFs.

With all these, the service is still free, unlike professional file hosting services that charge you for downloads or make you wait for hours.
