When I come across files with unknown extension, I prefer to open it with Notepad. The same when it comes to files like PHP, HTML, CSS and the likes. Adding a context menu option, to open with notepad, helps you quickly open up files without having to go through the long ‘Open with’ way, obviously saving your time. Though this is a common registry trick, for sure you should have read about this in many sites, if you haven’t heard, read below. There are few reasons why Registry Editor gets disabled, and when you attempt to open Registry Editor when it is disabled, you get a message box that reads “Registry Editing has been disabled by your Administrator”. Few Trojans are made specifically to disable registry editor and few others are made in order not to revoke it from Startup (CurrentVersion/Run). I’ve seen many having the same query on how to play XviD movies on Windows Media Player (WMP). In order to play a content on ANY media player, you’ll need to have it’s (content’s) codec. To override this, you will have to run Google Talk’s executable file (exe) with a parameter. Before we set up mails clients to download email, we need to know 2 important protocols (a set of rules). They are POP/IMAP and SMTP. POP stands for Post Office Protocol, IMAP for Internet Message Access Protocol and SMTP for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol.
