WordPress, to give you a safe and a hassle-free environment, stores a lot of temporary information to its MySQL Database. Primary example would be Post Revisions. WordPress creates Post Revisions every time you edit a post (after publishing), even when a post is auto-saved! This appends the whole post content to the database, thus filling your database with temporary stuffs. You won’t be able to delete them either. It’s September 27, and California-based Google celebrates its 11 birthday today, though, according to Google Wikipedia article, the founded date is said to be September 4th 1998 and the domain’s WhoIs says that it was registered on the 15th of September 1997. Google expresses this by its new logo (Goog11e) that you can find on the search page. A well-known and the largest URL Shortening Service, Bit.ly, has added support for uploading and sharing Media Files.
To share files on Bit.ly, you’ll just have to visit it’s homepage(bit.ly) and click the ‘Link to File’ hyperlink. Click ‘Browse’ and point the file you want to share. Supported file types are Images(jpg, png, gif, bmp, tiff), Flash Content(swf, flv), Movies(mp4, mov, avi) and PDFs. (more…)
