If you have already submitted your site to Google, Yahoo and Live, you will have to do it again, and this time for Bing! Bing is the hot topic now, next to Google’s Wave (an all-in-one tool for communication & collaboration from Google expected to release later this year). Bing already has indexes of many sites, probably they have used their existing Live/MSN Search’s index. If you are unsure whether your sites are indexed by Bing, you can find it by typing site:yourdomain.com in the search box (or) you can better submit your site & sitemap(optional) to Bing and make it’s job easier. To upload your site/sitemap infomation to Bing, all you need is a Bing Webmaster account which you can get it here. Use your live account (.net passport) to login to Webmaster Centre. Click “Add a Site” to submit your site. You’ll be presented with a forum similar to the one displayed below. Type in your website and if you do have an XML sitemap, you can add it here. Though sitemap is optional, it would help Bing to index all the pages of your site. Type in your email address in the Contact Information section. Submit the form once you are done. (more…)
